Our Team

Educate Nepal Initiative (EduN) is an organization of young minds enriched with dedication and determination to secure a change, a positive change for the future of Nepal in the sector of Education. Inaugurated in 2073/1/18, EduN is a result of dynamic youths from across the country which in itself is an indicator on how scenarios and circumstances of our societies are taken into account to design the welfare programs that it aims to do.

Dhirendra Acharya

Dhirendra Acharya President


Dhirendra Acharya is the President of the Education Nepal Initiative (EduN), a role that reflects his deep commitment to driving positive change in Nepal's education sector. With a strong academic background with MBA at Global College, Dhirendra has equipped himself with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead effectively. His educational journey began at Xavier International School, followed by studies at Caribbean College and Brooklyn College, culminating in a Bachelor’s in Social Work (B.S.W.). Dhirendra's leadership extends beyond the classroom. He has served as a member secretary under the Ministry of Youth and Sports' Youth and Self-Employment Fund. His experience as a social mobilizer with CEPDRA, Nepal, and his active participation in various social and volunteer activities demonstrate his dedication to community development. A team player with strong communication skills, Dhirendra is goal-driven and adept at managing responsibilities. Fluent in English and Nepali, he is committed to using his abilities to make a meaningful impact. His leadership at EduN continues to inspire and drive forward initiatives aimed at improving education and empowering youth across Nepal.

Tilak Dhital Founder, Vice President


Tilak Prasad Dhital is an emerging leader in the fields of education, finance, and entrepreneurship with over six years of diverse experience. He is a co-founder and Financial Head at Digital Learning Nepal - MeroSiksha, where he has played a pivotal role in raising funds, launching the MVP, and overseeing the finance department. A certified ICT Smart Board Trainer, Tilak has also co-founded Budhanilkantha Education Services, managing classrooms and teaching A-level Economics. Tilak's passion for education extends to his role as Vice-President of the Education Nepal Initiative, where he has organized national-level events and led impactful projects in various districts. His commitment to education and youth empowerment has earned him several accolades, including the Global Students Entrepreneurship Award 2023 and recognition as an Emerging Leader in the Nepal Youth Young Entrepreneurship Award 2024. Academically, Tilak is pursuing an MBA at the Global College of Management and holds a Bachelor's in Development Finance from National College. A former School Captain at Budhanilkantha School, he is also fluent in English and Nepali, with skills in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and basic programming languages. An avid sports enthusiast, Tilak has competed in national-level swimming and track & field events.

Nischal Singh Bista Program Co-ordinator


Hi. I am Nischal Singh Bista. I introduce myself as a social, curious and ambitious teenager. Being a part of this organization, I have learned the reality and melancholy of our society and the need for change. I'm really happy to be a part of this platform, showcasing my works and getting an abundance of learning through it. As a program coordinator, I am committed to ensuring our programs are well-planned, executed effectively, and continuously improved for success. Without a shadow of doubt, it is a more fulfilled goal yet thriving for more.

I am an aspiring student of Bachelors in Development Studies (BDevS), National College. I have been involved in social and development works since the past 3 years. I also have been regularly involved in the fields development especially though not limited to sustainable development, quality education and research.

Kussum Ghimire Executive Member


People find me to be an upbeat, self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and sometimes too ambitious. I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to help them have an uplifting experience. I am dedicated, outgoing, and a team player. I enjoy reading classic novels, writing when I feel like I’m diving to deep into a topic, singing my heart out and sketching the wonders of lives around me. For the past few years, I have been working in the field of menstrual health awareness projects and organize, conduct and participate in several fund raising, blood donation, debates, writing, elocution and talent hunt competitions and guided tours. The knowledge and perspective that I’ve accumulated in my journey in learning till now and still further is what I wish to give in during my tenure as a board member of EduN. I am equally ecstatic to work with all of my fellow board members and can’t wait to help young minds grow through various educational and social empowerment programs."

Sulav Khanal

Sulav Khanal Executive Member


Sulav Khanal is a visionary leader dedicated to transforming education through digital technology. As the Co-Founder of MeroSiksha, he has played a crucial role in improving educational access and quality, training over 5,000 students and teachers in effective digital learning practices. His efforts focus on integrating traditional and digital education, creating a more interactive and engaging learning experience for all. Sulav’s work has significantly impacted the educational landscape, bridging gaps and ensuring that learning remains relevant and accessible in the digital age. Beyond his work at MeroSiksha, Sulav has made notable contributions through the Educative Nepal Initiative. He led a successful $8,000 fundraising campaign that provided essential resources to a government school in Rimuwa, Gulmi, opening up new opportunities for students. Additionally, he has spearheaded programs to support widows in western Nepal, helping them gain valuable skills to improve their livelihoods. Sulav is also a passionate public speaker, sharing his experiences and insights on leadership and digital education to inspire others to innovate and drive positive change within their communities.

Birendra Madai Founder, Executive Member


In 2016, I along with my friends established an organization known by the name Educate Nepal Initiative in order to spread the light of knowledge to every party of the country. I was made the founding president of the organization. With the help of executive members and other friends, we were able to conduct a series of three grand national level talk shows and book donation programme in various districts. We also took part in establishing an e-library in Jajarkot district. I had the honour to lead the organization for two consequetive terms.During this time, we have been able to build the identity of the organization. In March 2020 I stepped down and handed my responsibility to newly elected president of the organization.

I am an energetic, ambitious, diligent entrepreneur experienced in all aspects of operation, finance and management of an organization. Completing the high school from Budhanilkantha School and currently in Tribhuvan University, I am an effective communicator and motivator who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task that I undertake. Being involved in social and educational development works for the past 3 years, I identify and leverage assets in teammates to reach organizational goals. Educate Nepal Initiative, being an organization focused on developing the education sector, has a team of promising and strong willed individuals. I will work well in the team and also individually showing good commitment to the organization and deal with the difficult situations while working under pressure. I am a relentless optimist who believes there is no failure, only feedback. Cheers!!!
